Transatel founded in August 2000, is a pan-European company with the headquarters located in Paris, France and offices in Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. The company is directed by Jacques Bonifay and Bertrand Salomon and has successfully positioned itself on the MVNO market in Europe. The two main activities of Transatel: MVNO et MVNE
Transatel own MVNO's:
Transatel proposes several mobile telephony offers in France, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Belgium and the Netherlands.
- The multi-country offers are dedicated to frequent travellers and inhabitant of the border areas in France, Switzerland and the Benelux. These offers allows users to save up to 70% on the roaming charges in these 5 countries.
- Eurokeitai is an offer for the Japanese community in France with services as documentation and customer service in Japanese, special rates to call to Japan and unlimited calls between the subscribers of Eurokeitai.
- LeFrenchMobile is a mobile phone service for visitors coming to France for a short period (from 6 months to 2 years). All documentation, website and customer service are in English. LeFrenchMobile offers very competitive tariffs for international calls.
- Phonethic is a charity mobile phone offer available in Belgium and is a partnership between Transatel and 4 NGO’s. 12% of each subscriber’s invoice is given to the associations.
Transatel, MVNE in Europe
Thanks to the infrastructure and to the agreements with mobile telephony operators in France, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Belgium and the Netherlands, Transatel has launched several virtual mobile operators (MVNO) with different providers in other European countries (please refer to www.transatel-solutions.com). Transatel has agreements with Bouygues Telecom in France, Orange in Switzerland, Tango in Luxembourg, Base in Belgium and Telfort in the Netherlands. The company is profitable since 2004.
